The bruises lining her body were the least of our worries. We had not only physical, but emotional abuse we now had to work through. She was only in seventh grade, so the damage done was twice as bad. "His name was Jake", she said as her voice quivered. "We had only been dating for about two months when this happened, and it happened out of absolutely no where." "So literally nothing happened that would have caused him to do this? We need the honest truth so when it comes time to go to court we have all the valid information." The child service's lady said in a stern voice. "I swear, I thought everything was going perfect, until he got me alone. He was so nice to me around our friends, my parents, his parents, teachers, everyone really.I just can't believe this happened. What did I do to make him do this to me?" "Thats something were not going to know until we take him to court and get it out of him. Were going to have to ask you to cut off all communication with him until that point and really keep your distance. It could get to another dangerous and life threatening point again if you don't do as we say, okay Kelly?" "Okay." Kelly said with a very nervous tone.
Kelly Powell grew up with a very abnormal childhood. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived there until she was four. After her forth birthday she moved to South Korea with her little sister Candace and her Parents Kirk and Jacki. They spent three years living abroad until something happened. At age six Kelly was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor. A tumor on her kidney which required moving back to the states for immediate surgery and treatment. Kelly was only in first grade at the time and went to a place named "Fairfield West" where the kids treated her like she was contagious. She had a very lonely year when she needed her friends as much as possible. When she started losing her hair due to chemotherapy the kids taunting became unbearable. Thankfully, the year was almost over and she was able to escape...
