Anorexia

Introduction
Anorexia Nervosa is a disease marked by the pathological fear of weight gain leading to rapid or extreme weight loss. Victims with anorexia restrict and/or limit the intake of there food, as well as behavior in life spheres beyond food and eating. For example Abigail Natenshon states a woman would not go to her roommate's wedding because the ceremony was to take place at precisely the moment when she would need to be eating dinner. She did not have the flexibility to diverge from her daily schedule; and so her life became severely compromised. In this I am going to tell you the physical, mental, and the social effects anorexia causes in the persons life, and peoples lifes around them.
Physical
The Physical effects include massive weight loss, amenorrhea (which is the absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age.), fainting, cold tolerance, etc. Anorexia can be genetic, Children can be born wit a predisposition to developing anorexia through their genetics or through temperament.
Mental
Now there's the mental aspects, this may include strict dieting, secretive or binge eating, compulsive exercise, laxative (foods, compounds, or drugs taken to induce bowel movements or to loosen the stool.), diet pill or diuretic abuse, impaired relationships, etc.   Children as young as five are being reported to suffer from anorexia, displaying symptoms of compulsive exercise, rood restriction, vegetarianism, etc.  
Social
Then finally there's the social aspect, the person may go through depression, anixety, a low self-esteem, fear of weight gain body image distortion (where the person is underweight but sees themselves as overweight), etc.
Conclusion
I have told you the physical, mental, and social aspects of anorexia. There are ten times the number of female suffers, though during the past decade, the number of male suffers has doubled. There are also 11 million victims of anorexia and bulimia in America today, 87 percent of whom...
