Introduction

Inditex is a Spanish based company that was founded in Coruna in 1975 by Amancio Ortega Gaona. It is now one of the largest retailers in the world owning eight different store formats which are Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershaka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterique. Their approach to fashion creativity, quality design and rapid turnaround to adjust to changing market demands has allowed them to expand internationally at a fast rate and has generated an excellent public response to their retailers' collections. Innovation and agility is the key to Inditex’s worldwide success, because of this they now have stores in more than 400 cities throughout Europe, the Americas, the US and Asia.
  * Zara Inditex’s original store has a design approach which is closely linked to their customers. Zara keeps in tune with its customers who in turn help Zara give shape to new ideas, trends and tastes developing around the world.
  * Pull & Bear is more customized to a younger generation than Zara. Its shops have a very casual feel to them and the fashion is also very laid back.
  * Massimo Dutti offers the public a variety of collections which can range from sophisticated high end fashion to easy going casual clothing. Massimo Dutti is known for its contemporary style and high quality clothing.
  * Bershaka which would generally appeal mostly to their youngest generation has a more cutting edge street style than the other brands. It has been known to be influenced by pop culture and art.
  * Stradivarius also for the more youthful consumers has a fresh and funky feel to their collection. Stradivarius has a very original and dynamic twist to their clothing.
