‘True friends’. There are many people whom we can regard as friends, but at the end of the day, we’ll realize that there are only a few of them that are worth the ‘true friend’ label.
Definitions of ‘true friend’ differ. To me, what really matters is that he/she loves and accepts you for just who you are and not judge you. I’m not saying that he/she should let you go on with your wrongdoings. I’m saying that even if you’re wrong, he/she doesn’t insult you for what you are; but encourages you back to the right path.
I’ve met only one Friend who is perfect, and that is, Jesus Christ. He’s the only One whose love never fails; the only One who has never hurt me; the only One… who is beyond amazing. Words fail to express how awesome He is.   Of course, we can’t expect any of our friends to be flawless like Him. We’re all human; we have our flaws at some point or another and only God’s perfect.
There are many people whom I have met in my life. And there are a lot who have come and gone in just a blink of an eye. I’ve encountered a lot of enervated friendships; sometimes they can be restored, sometimes they can’t. There are some whom I used to be so close but are now just my hi-and-bye friends. Worse comes to worst, we don’t even talk to each other. I guess this doesn’t only happen to me; it’s an everyday-life thing.
This proves how insecure friendships among humans can be. Only our friendship with Jesus is fortressed. Humans may fail us, but God will never. He’ll remain by our side.
