As a young man cornel west had many problems in school such as his uncontrollable rage and his wry sense of justice.   Cornel west fought for those who could not fight for themselves, but on that same note at times fights for all the wrong reasons .   Cornel west was a very outspoken young man, and would speak regardless two the consequences. Unlike many children cornel west was gifted he thought like no other children. Many of these particular problems were due to cornell’s over the top way of thinking. At times Cornell would find himself defending the weaker or less fortunate, in a way playing all modern day robin hood. To prove his point Cornell ones be up a young boy named Bernard he simply stated” I had to jump a brother” With that being said he took the boys lunch and get a turn and gave it to Linda. In one occasion Cornell refused to salute the flag, in refusing to pledge allegiance he infuriated his professor causing her to slap him,in return he socked mrs.yee in the arm. In doing this, it resulted in him being expelled by his principle. West had a strong value for rules, he saw the need for them, and you that they came from a place of love and guidance. I love that Cornell ways was a man who followed his heart regardless to what people said and did he found it in himself to go against the grain.   Like west, I was also a defendant of those who could not defend themselves. Not through aggressive action, but though friendship. This enabled the less fortunate to feel wanted and a part of a group.   I too did not care what people thought all along the I chose to do what was right, even though I would be teased and seen as one of them.
