Question: When placed in   unfamiliar and difficult situations, we are forced to think about and change our ideas about life and ourselves. How are Ellie and her friends shown to change in Tomorrow when the war began?

Ellie and her friends are made to discard their conventions of normal routine as they start to quest for information as they must think and act like men at war and plan out their movements strategically to avoid capture .   Their level of bravery must rise to a whole new playing field as their sense of security is constantly being   second guessed with their lives put to a new and unfamiliar   dimension of terror, uncertainty and sheer desperation.
