  "Working as a unit" it is a great idea by consultant Mehrdad Baghai and James Quigley. Traditionally, most of the organizations are in the command and control mode. Work tasks are like orders coming down from on top and being carried out by subordinates. Mangers do not give instructions and let the employees do their job individually. Work difficulties raise under this kind of management because the organization is not producing efficiently and effectively. After an academic review of ideas, they have discovered different ways that the organization can effectively working together as one.

  In order to work as one, great management and great managers are necessary. In the 21st century, the new workplace is no longer under the command and control frame. A great manager must be able to support and responsible for the work of others. For example, A company is trying to achieve a goal. To begin with,managers have to set realistic objectives and determine what kind of actions should be done to achieve them. After planing, managers needs to assigning tasks, allocating resources and coordination to each individual. Different department is responsible for different tasks. Organizing is the step that turn plans into actual work.Managers need to give motivation to employees and inspiring them to accomplish goals. After the task is completed, the managers have to measure the performance by comparing the results with objectives and taking corrective actions. Under this kind of management, every department of the organization are involved, they work as a one and try to accomplish the same objective.
