    Maybe I´m more ready-to-wear type of gal, but I´m always been interested in the secret world
  of haute couture. It does not open its doors to everyone and though many documents have been
  made on the subject, it remains its mysterious status. Haute couture means exclusive custom
  fitted clothing and the prices usually are in tens of thousands. Haute couture speaks against
  kertakäyttömuoti? and it is almost considered as art. It is always a timeless investment
  which will last forever, too.
    Fashion houses that make couture, such as Chanel or Dior, display their collections twice a
  year in Paris, every spring and fall. On the runway the outfits you see might look way too
  extravagant but if buying a piece, you can tear down the look as much as you wish.
  Fabrics used for the clothes are the best possible and the most expensive you can find.
  The name Haute Couture comes from french and means "high sewing". Every garment is hand-made
  by professionals and the price includes one to three fittings to make sure the measurements
  are right. Bad-fitting couture is definitely one of the worst fashion mistakes. 179
    When I first saw pictures from a Galliano couture show on the pages of british Vogue it
  looked very strange to me, but now, after seeing few documents on haute couture, I know the
  almost crazy runway looks are just a way to the designer to show his skills. Regular haute  
  couture customers are much more used to the looks, knowing to look the coats or skirts under       the styling. 250
    Couture is probably a luxury to slightly older women, at least I´ve never seen women my age
  wear any. Having these clothes means you have to be very wealthy and   I don´t think even in
  my wildest dreams to ever have an opportunity to be able to buy haute couture. But if I did,
  I´d love to have a few Chanel jackets hanging in my closet
