When it comes to the Salem witch trials and McCarthyism there is the witch hunt or what I saw from the accusing of there political views in McCarthyism.
The Salem witch trial had many thing that separated them from the there problems all had to do with political beliefs many people were accused of being a suspected communists. Also they feared that the communism infiltrated schools. Labor unions and also other national institutions.
Then again its always some type of similarities with many stories and The Salem witch trials and McCarthyism have a few were bad and being a communist and if so one they were considered bad. Accused as I told you before both were of not being something that they were not. Accused and actually innocent but said to be witches and communist.
As you can see there was a few differences but also some similarities. It proved that it does not matter what time periods your in because anyone can be accused of being guilty when actually innocent.
