The Future of America on a Plate
The topic that I chose to discuss was the childhood obesity in the United States.   as was doing the research for my paper, I looked around my own neighborhood, over the past few days, and watched how many kids were out and about.   I live in a gated community so I figured that there would be a lot of kids running around, riding their bikes, etc.   I didn’t see any of that, it was about 80 degrees outside and the weather was perfect, but yet there was no one taking advantage of the beautiful day.   That was one of the things that I want to show in my paper, the lack of physical activity in our children nowadays.
On this week’s reading one of the things that im trying to use its time.   If I manage my time properly, I will be able to develop my research paper a lot easier and I’ll be able to figure out what information I want to put on paper.   If everyday I put a little bit of time in this project, I know that I’ll have a successful paper. I have to plan ahead, by that I mean telling myself the night before I want to look for the next day, I’ll have a clear understanding of what im looking for that day, instead of being all over the place.
One of the main points that I plan to argue is the lack of inactivity in our children.   I don’t have any children of my own, but I know that no matter what situation is going on my children will e involved in after school activities, be able to go outside and play, have friends that are not computer animated or better put, virtual friends.   I think that is one of the many reasons why our children are overweight and suffer from so many illnesses. I want to be a throughly as possible and make people understand how much damage we are causing our youth and our future.
