¨Strong leaders shape movements for independence and change¨. The methods and roles of leaders and organizations in the movement for Independence and change between 1945 and 1975 are alike, but also have many differences at the same time. Many things are the same, for example countries may have strong leaders that shaped the movement for independence and change but there are probably different reasons for the revolution to happen.
First of all, the methods and roles of leaders and organizations in the movement for Independence and change between 1945 and 1975 are alike. Many of the leaders at that time, for example Nelson Mandela stated that they wanted to make a change in their country but the difference is that some choose to do it wrong and others to help their country. In this quote, Mandela says that he wants to live under a country where everybody is free and has their own, and he is going to work for that change to happen. “I want people living harmony and a free society” (Mandela). On the other hand, Zedong didn’t care about his people, he just wanted to get along with democratic society “They want to get along with the communist party” (Zedong). That quote that Castro said was in a speech that he gave on 1953 and it meant that only strong leaders should rule, not the weaker ones.     ¨Strong leaders shape movements for independence and change¨ (Castro). Others, for example Mao Zedong, “just wanted to help the communist party” which later turn out to be really bad for the people in China (Zedong).
