On March 11, 2011 a Tsunami struck Japan. Tsunamis are generated by massives raptures beneath the Earths' surface underneath the oceans floor. When the earthquake does rapture along a fault line, the surface around that fault are pushed up and then dropped back down. This movement then displaces the entire water column above that chunk of surface. In other words, the earthquake causes large masses of water to spread over land in a short amount of time, endangering homes and habitats of any living thing within it's reach. The affects of Tsunamis are extremely absurd. There are reasons behind everything that happens during a Tsunami.
