Hobby is something that one likes to do in one’s spare time. Hobbies play an important role in developing one’s personality. Most of us have hobby because having a specific interest on something makes our physical and mental balance. This can take the form of anything that you are interested in, it should be invigorating and also be a form of relaxation, and hobbies can also educational, enjoyable fun to perform and exciting. There is hardly a person who does not have a hobby. The educated and the uneducated alike pursue one's hobby or the other. Some hobbies like flying kites, gardening, reading books, periodicals, swimming, painting, to listening music etc. are fairly popular. But hobbies can be anything. It does not matter how people think about it, it is according to the interests of the people. Some people even have the habit of collecting things. Like my friend who collects key chains from the past two years and has a record of almost 250 different kinds of key chains. Take games for an example. A game as a hobby is a structured or semi-structured recreational activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment a goal that the players try to reach and a set of rules concerning what the players can or cannot do create the challenge and structure in a game, and are thus central to its definition. Some hobbies are social events in which you participate and interact with a team or friends and some are considered personal whereby you reflect and enjoy by you. People have multiple hobbies in which they participate in some of my hobbies are reading, cycling, fishing, football, dancing, cricket and motor racing. The youth today who are too busy to devote time for hobbies should choose career oriented hobbies. The old and the young equally derive pleasure from hobbies. Hobbies should have a creative and instructive effect upon the person.
