WHAT DOES A NAIL ARTIST DO?

A hard protein known as keratin is required for the formation of nails which provide a protective gear to toes and fingers. They act as tools for man and animal to perform their normal tasks. Nail care for beauty and decoration has become very popular in the last few decades.
Any person specializing in general and specific nail care techniques - is called a nail artist. A nail artist's work consists of cutting, decorating and caring for nails. The term nail art is particularly applied to the field of designing and creating artificial nails. A nail artist normally operates from nail shops or nail salons.
Nail art is a very specialized cosmetic field. Nail lacquering, nail painting, nail decoration and nail piercing are some different nail art ideas, which are popular all over the world. Nail art was popular in ancient India in the form of henna painting and application of fragrances. Ancient Indian tribes were also very adept at spectacular nail decorations.
Global trends like nail piercing and nail painting is also making its presence felt in Indian fashion circles now. Nail art is a creative field and the fashioning and designing of nails is becoming more and more innovative. India's has good nail technicians who are well known for her creative nail art designs and nail art courses. Nail art designers are working with various mediums like dried flowers; beads and fabrics to enhance the beauty of nails. Nail aesthetics have become an interest - especially for those who frequent beauty parlors for other things. Bold colors like gold, silver, blue, red, green and black are preferred over softer shades by high fashion circles.
