Dear Members of the Parole Board; We are writing to you in support of the parole release of Felix (last name), (parole ID #) San Quentin State Prison and humbly ask that you grant parole to Felix (last name) when he appears before you soon. We are familiar with the facts and circumstances of the crime for which Felix has now served more than (# of years). Although the tragic loss of life is a serious crime and has negatively affected the lives of many people, we ask that you carefully consider and review Felix's case and his positive adjustment during his incarceration, and hope that you agree that Felix deserves to be given the opportunity to return to the community. We also want it to be known that he has the full love and support from his friends and family and we are all very excited about the positive changes he has made.We are aware of the progress Felix has made through the many years of his incarceration. During his time in prison, Felix has taken advantage of many programs that has been offered to him, most specifically, his value on education. Felix has expressed a passion for learning, for cultures and society   despite being behind bars. Felix has done all of these things on his own; no one has ever told him “this is what is expected of you” “this is what you need to do”. We feel that this shows that Felix has used his time in prison constructively and effectively and above all with maturity and good faith.Felix has reformed and rehabilitated himself and poses no threat to the outside world. He has accepted full responsibility for his actions, has reflected on his past mistakes and expressed deep and sincere remorse for his crime. We wholeheartedly believe that Felix would be a good and productive citizen if he were returned to society. Felix has worked harder than anyone I know to be a better person and we feel that he deserves a chance to “shine” and prove this to the parole board. It is our sincere hope that the Division of Parole will give his parole...
