Why Are We Numb?

“THE BIGGEST WAR IS ON, WHY ARE WE NUMB” JUNE 3rd 2011 ,our country witnessed a historic event with the start of the modern satyagrah, this time not against an individual ,or a ruler , or a foreign power, but against the corrupt system and the corrupt government of our own country.Baba Ramdev along with thousands of his followers gathered in the RAMLILA MAIDAN NEW DELHI   for a peaceful protest   with annshan.But it was unfortunate to witness   the unconstitutinal and dictating actions of the central government, which directed the Delhi police, leaded by top officials to destroy the peaceful protest. Around 11.30pm on June 4th when all the innocent protesting people were sleeping empty stomach, hundreds of policemen put the pandal   on fire and started to lathicharge the protestents with full brutality. Men,women, children, senior citizens every one was beaten up without any mercy. After witnessing this event ,do you still think that we are living in a democracy??????   Where is the democracy and constitutional rights we talk about when such a peaceful protest is destroyed with such brutality. It is a sheer misuse of power. When we went through the news and tried to debate on this on facebook , it was surprising to find most of our arunachali youth friend’s views were against the noble movement.The first thing they questioned was “ why is baba Ramdev   mixing YOGA with POLITICS? I ASK “WHERE IS THE POLITICS IN THIS MOVEMENT?” . DID HE ASK US TO JOIN HIS POLITICAL PARTY? OR IS HE ASKING FOR OUR VOTES IN THE ELECTION? NO!!!!! What all he wants is us, the youth to support him in this war against the corrupted and inefficient system of our country. And it is our sheer responsibility and fundamental duty towards our nation to support him in this noble cause. Many of us think what he is trying to achieve is madness, a joke.
