Teen Pregnancy
Teen pregnancy is a big problem in our society. Been a pregnant and been a teen it’s a big deal because it effects you life from the day the child come in your life from dropping out of school to missing schools and from having to live off welfare and not been able to do the daily activities you use to can do. Being the parent at such a young age takes away many opportunities for you. You now can't go and explore the possibilities of your future. You are now forced to explore the opportunities of the future of your child. They now become number one in your life. They must be the first thing you think about when you wake up, and the last thing you think about before you go to sleep. There's no more going out with your friends and you can forget about the club or team you were or want to be on. Most teenagers, when they find out they are going to become parents drop out of school and wait until they have the baby to get there G.E.D.
      Teen pregnancy can be planned, or not planned. Teens still have unprotected sex and be knowing t he consequences that it come with but most teens don’t believe catching a disease or been pregnant can happen to them unless they experience it self. I know a friend that got pregnant at the age of 15 and had a disease at the same time the friend didn’t believe that it would happen to her she knew not using a condom could turn into pregnancy or even a std. Teen pregnancy can occur by getting sexual force into having sex or unplanned pregnancy by not using a condom or some teens want to have a baby. Every year approximately one million teenage girls become pregnant in the United States, about a third of these teens abort their pregnancies, another 14 percent lose their pregnancies to miscarriage, and the remaining 52 percent teens bear children. Of the half-a-million teens that give birth annually, 72 percent are unmarried and 75 percent are giving birth for the first time. More than 175,000 of these new moms are age 17...
