The story “How I Met My Husband” by Alice Munro is about a young girl named Edie who gets her first job working for Dr. and Mrs. Peebles at their house outside of town. The whole story is told from a first person point of view with Edie being the main character. You can tell this story is told from young Edie’s point of view because when the author writes Edie’s thoughts or actions he uses words such as “I” or “my”. I got back in bed and imagined about me coming home with him, not like that.” (Culgston, 2010) Edie is imagining what it would be like if she was engaged to Chris instead of the other woman. The next day Edie goes over to see Chris and tell him about the picnic that his fiancé went on and end up sharing an intimate moment with him. The fiancé finds out and calls Edie loose and all kinds of names. Chris...
