Jesus revealed the Kingdom of God and the responsibilities we are expected to adhere to as we live our lives as God’s children   (Moloney, 1986). To a great extent, Jesus influenced the way we include women in our everyday life and how women were treated in 1st century Palestine, through his words and actions, and as a result revealed the Kingdom of God, and God’s commandment to love and respect your neighbour, which is a great example of how to accept different beliefs and cultures in today’s society. The life in First Century Palestine was completely different to life today   (Armstrong , 1998). People were judged depending on their race, religion and gender. Jesus came down to earth to teach people how to accept and how to live by God’s word (McBrien, 2012).
Through Jesus’ words and actions in 1st century Palestine, the importance of the Kingdom of God is revealed. The Kingdom of God is a representation of God and all of his teachings and commandments   (Grace Communion International, 2012). As well as Jesus’ teachings it is where people of 1st century Palestine have the opportunity to see how God expects them to act and behave   (Prevario, 2012). “Do not judge and you will not be judged, do not condemn, and you will not be condemned, forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37). In this biblical reference, Jesus is talking to the men and women of 1st Century Palestine and discussing the correct way in which they should act as God’s children, and how they should treat other people in that time and era. Jesus demonstrated the Kingdom of God through his actions towards women and his teaching about God’s commandments. The Kingdom of God expects that all people are treated equally and fairly (McBrien, 2012).
