A hospital is a building where sick or injured people receive treatment.

A school mate of mine was run over by a vehicle. He was seriously hurt in the back and was admitted in the surgical ward of a hospital.

I visited him at the hospital, it is the biggest specialist hospital in the city, very beautiful and well kept landscape. There were extensive grassy lawns with beautiful flower beds for the recreation of the patients.

There was an army of doctors and nurses, the nurses were smart and looked beautiful in their white spotless uniforms. The hospital was divided into different wards, there was children's ward, two surgical wards, ear, eye, nose and throat wards and an x-ray department.
The different wards were full of patients, it appeared as if the whole world were sick. There were patients suffering from heart trouble, tuberculosis, eye, ear and throat infections, and all sorts of diseases. I saw patients with their whole bodies covered with plaster, I saw a patient who had received sixty degree burns in an accident, his face was swollen and he had big boils all over his body. There were patients crying in pain, another patient had his legs amputated. It was really a sad encounter.

Nurses and doctors were walking up and down the ward attending to the patients. They cheered one, joked with the next and patted the other.   They were playing the part of ministering angels. I visited the operation theatre, I was frightened at the sight of knives, scissors, and other surgical instruments lying on a big operating table. I also visited the x-ray clinic where patients were being x-rayed, the pathological laboratory where patients blood, urine and stool are tested.

Verily, the best way to serve God is to serve the ailing humanity. The doctors and nurses are rendering great service to humanity, we must respect them.
