IF I CLIMB THE MOUNTAINS TO BE WITH YOU….. IF I CROSS THE MILLION OCEANS TO BE WITH YOU…..WOULD YOU EVER, LET ME DOWN?   WOULD YOU EVER, FOOL AROUND? ……….BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!!!


Melodramatic? Mushy? My God, you must be ancient? Yes, perhaps in 2011. However, 20 years back it was a cult song which used to send my pulse racing listening to Shakin Stevens strumming it. Rewinding a zillion times on something called a Walkman, a constant companion then and extinct today. Some of my friends refer and compare it to the great Indian bustard. The future generation can check it on the Wikipedia to know what it means. But then, change is the only permanent thing in life. So, why crib?

At the risk of sounding from the grave, let me take you down the annals of the history of human relationships then and now. The joy of being true to a single partner. Perhaps, I admit, it is no longer regarded as relevant in the world we live in today. But sure was good while it lasted. Reminiscing about it still makes the heart warm and brings in me a hope that the best perhaps is not over yet. Makes me feel human still.

In the world we live in today, I find strife, I find hopelessness, I find a sense of loneliness……… I find a sense of despondency; I find humans to be machines or slaves to one or the other invention of our fellow human beings……. Some might argue that there still is love, laughter and happiness depending on where you look. True. But when I look around the life that revolves around me, I strain to see the love, feel the happiness, and the true nature of humans the way they were meant to be by nature herself. We all seem to be so technologically evolved, so mutated and so mechanical even in matters of the heart, Facebook and twitter control our lives. We believe in meeting and mating online. Meeting up on a lazy afternoon, catching up for lunch, taking a lazy stroll or spending hours discussing on a world of issues have given away to texting, online chats and brief romping...
