The problem is the abundance of children lacking clothing, shelter, food, guidance, support, education, and the list would go on so we stop at etc. These children are out fending for themselves, more than half of the time not making it and even though they make it most of the time not to a bright future ahead.
There are several reasons for children ending up on the street including being abandoned, orphaned or disowned by their parents. Also, mistreatment or neglect, simply because of the lack of basic necessities which the home cannot provide may cause a child to seek to the streets.
Orphanages and Adoption Programs are one of the main ways to counter the problem of street children. There are those who fight for rights, others raise awareness, some just donate money. But there are a number of organizations and programs which have been established to help children in many ways. First and foremost is UNICEF, who leads the way in educating and providing support. But as seen in this section as well as others, there are many organizations large and small which are dealing with domestic problems children face. The proof that they are working are the faces seen throughout this section, the children cared for, the children who are taken in, the children who have survived when alone they could not have.
Basically Street Children is a social problem that's been around   for some time and as technology is advancing we are finding ways to care for those in need, counties coming together on a worldwide scale now for one country in need. I can see the future.
