The day of forever

Once there was this little girl who had the same wish every other child have; to have their whole family gathered on their birthday. The first mentioned did come true for this little girl, her whole family were coming up on this special day, but sadly the reason why they were all coming wasn?t because of her birthday. A short while ago a very beloved person past away, and his funeral would take place on her birthday.



May the 23rd, the girl were surrounded by friends and family all covered in black. She did get some congratulations, but there were no happy faces. When one of the grandchildren sang a beautiful song about grief in the funeral, the little girl looked at all the broken-hearted souls around her in the church, and thought, ?It?s not fair that a child or anyone shall be put in a situation like this, to cry and get sad when you think of someone that made you more happy then anyone could, especially on a day that actually where supposed to be a day full of joy and happy faces.?  



When the church part of the funeral was over, six men were ready to carry the coffin. The girl could see the pain in their eyes, like the coffin was much heavier than it actually was. When they started to go out of the church she was right behind them, followed by the black parade.



Halfway on the black runway to deaths resting place the girl realized something; after this funeral she would have a big empty hole in her heart and knew that her birthdays would never be the same again. She looked down at the ground and allowed herself to let her tears fall.

When the coffin was carried to the same grave that the girls grandmother was buried, all were given a white rose. The coffin looked so fantastic, all covered in flowers and goodbye notes. The girl was one of the first that let her rose descend on the coffin after it had been lowered into the grave.



It didn?t rain that day, but in one way it did. The birthday girl almost cried...
