“NOT AS NEW AS WE THOUGHT”

“Have you ever wondered about the quality of education here in our country?”   Did you know that out of all country all over the world, there are only three nations that have 10 – year pre-university program? And unfortunately, we are the last state in Asia who has this program.   In the other words our republic is like being outdated, just like a canned food, we can’t eat it anymore so we need to change it to a new one.
“Learning” this is the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I hear the word Education.   Everyone can achieve education but only few who truly learns, right?   There are many people who finished their studies but not all of them really “Learned”.   Learning is the main focus of education.   According to one definition of education, “Education means to know knowledge” because for them without knowledge or without education, life of human beings will not operate which is on the other hand it simply says that education is very essential to us people.   Education also comprises good thoughts in human being that carries them into success.
“I want at least 12 – years for our public schools children to give them an even chance at succeeding” this was stated by our President Benigno S. Aquino III.   He wanted to have a globally competitive citizens which is identified in the “Education Goals” of K to 12 program, according to the first education goal, the K to 12 Basic Education Program is to create a functional basic education system that will produce productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies and skill for both life-long learning and employment.   The...
