Clare is a practice nurse at a doctor’s surgery.   It is Tuesday morning and she sees that the following patient has booked in to see her:

Mrs Brown (80), who needs to have her ears syringed.   She lives on her own and is a frequent visitor to the surgery.   Her family do not live locally and she knows very few of her neighbours.   Mrs Brown is hard of hearing and also struggles with her mobility.  

Clare is a practice nurse at a doctor’s surgery.   It is Tuesday morning and she sees that the following patient has booked in to see her:

Ted Phillips (65), who is in a wheelchair after a stroke and needs a blood test.   Ted lives with his wife Marta, however, she is 5 years younger and still in full time employment.   Ted is having difficulty with his speech since the stroke and is extremely self conscious about this.

Clare is a practice nurse at a doctor’s surgery.   It is Tuesday morning and she sees that the following patient has booked in to see her:
Narinda Patel (53), who is being monitored for her blood pressure.   Narinda recently lost her husband and then moved to England to live with her adult daughter and her family.   Although Narinda understands basic English, she still struggles from time to time.   Both her daughter and her daughter’s husband work full time.
