Honourable Junior Councillors, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen
Good morning, goeie morê, molweni, thobela, abuxeni!
I would like to extend warm greetings to all on this important day.
Education, commitment and enabling the future of today’s generation, for the future leaders,   I am Abdul Muqtasid Antulay who resides in the Cravenby Area and I stand before all today representing my ward for the larger community.   My values are connected to my goals.   I encourage and excel on values through Respect, Trust, Care, Honesty and Success.   I believe in many things.   I believe that people are good and kind and have a natural tendency to help others which will bring about trust and thrust worthiness.   Leaders must have qualities in Vision, discipline, direction & aspiration.   Why?   A good and efficient leader, who has a clear vision, will also be able to picture where he/she envisaged to be, through honesty, communication, dedication hard work and a relentlessly drive to completion and constantly inspiring others to do the same.   To develop peace, harmony and good relationships within the diverse cultural groups in making the community a place of comfort and security for the young and old.   Being the voice for the people of the community, I play a very important role in assisting the services of the future for the benefit of the local people.   For this to happen I would be working closely and in partnership with health services, police, public bodies to assist when required (Public Works,etc), NGO’s, other Public bodies and the Private sector.   I would be able to network with various business sectors which will assist me in achieving my goal to improve the quality of life for people within the Cape Metro.   Representing the people at large, I would undertake to represent a family, individual or task at hand, relating to Housing, Services and Education in...
