Abortion come from the Latin word abortion, which means to abort, miscarry. Abortion is generally used to mean and induced termination of a pregnancy. It has been some time ago, when abortion was illegal, women died because they did not want to bear an infant and attempted to get rid of the child’s life by themselves without professional help. It was in 1973 when the law passed, which allowed women to have the choice of abortion. Sometimes abortion can save the woman’s life. Abortion is the removal of a developing baby from the womb of his or her mother, surgical, mechanical, or by chemicals. The baby is terminated before 20 weeks. Abortion is one of the most controversial topics of all times. It is the fight between pro-life and pro-choice. It is possible for one to support abortion on a political level, but against it on a personal level. Most Americans believe that, for example, murder is wrong. Our nation is divided in two political, legal, and moral views of abortion. The two sides are pro-choice and pro-life. The simplest people; a pro-choicer would hold that the decision to abort their pregnancy is too made only by the women; the government has no right to intervene in the decision. A pro-lifer would hold that, from the moment of conception, the embryo or fetus is alive; that this life imposes on us a moral obligation to preserve it; and that abortion is tantamount to murder. (Brian, 2011) This is the way of life that we must get right. Most people believe that you should have a right to life because what if the woman was raped or it may have been an incest baby. There is many anti-abortionists are constantly arguing against the issue of murder.
