Memories………!
When I was in the final year of intermediate, a domestic T20 Cricket tournament was arranged by the Faysal Bank of Pakistan in Lahore. It was an unforgettable memory for me because at that time Pakistan was under line of terrorism. It was a healthy activity conducted by the bank under the PCB. However, I did not see the whole tournament due to my studies. But I manage to see the final scene of the tournament at Qaddaffi Stadium Lahore.
After finishing my class from the college I went to home early as usual. Then I changed my clothes then I took my friend who was also a class fellow of mine. We left home at 5pm. It was a bit rush hour of the day but we reached there before the match started. A huge crowed was waiting for entry in the stadium. There was a lot of hustle bustle of traffic at the road. At 6pm the entry of the ground was opened for everyone. I entered in the ground after a great struggle. I got the seat in the upper stands. It was a match between Lahore Lions and Karachi Dolphins. Some well known players of our National Team were practicing at the side of the ground. The huge crowd was appreciating them. Few minutes before the match, toss between the two teams was conducted by the umpire. Toss was won by the Lahore Lions and they choose to bat first.
At 7pm umpire gave permission to start the match. Lahore Lions started their innings and the two openers gave a solid start to the team to strength the base. After a decent start they had put a total of 222-4 in 20 over. It laid a strong foundation for the team. The whole crowd cheers their innings.
There was break of 10 minutes to change the innings. Due to huge crowd the entry in the stadium was banned by the organizers. Due to which some boys made disturbance outside the stadium and they started to throw stones inside the stadium. Everyone was trying to prevent him from him. In the mean time, a stone hits me at the face. I got injured and I had to leave the match immediately. Rescue 1122 took...
