As you know, more and more countries decide to ban smoking in all public places. In my opinion, smoking in public places should be prohibited. It’s the right thing to do. There are many reasons that support this viewpoint, but today I want to concentrate on three reasons. The first reason is smoking is a harmful for passive-smokers and the last one is the people who smoke in public portray a bad example for children.
First of all, smoking is a harmful for passive-smokers. There are two types of smokers - active and passive. The person who smokes is active and other who near to him and inhale are passive-smokers. Active and passive smokers meet at many places like offices, buses, hotels, etc. Both are equally affected by the consequences of smoking such as lung cancer, heart attacks. While it is unfair to those who don’t smoke, passive smokers shouldn’t have to breathe in toxic fumes from others who choose to smoke. If a smoker wants to decrease their life span by smoking that’s fine, but they should limit to where they can smoke like in their car or homes. Due to health risks of passive-smokers, smoking should be banned in all public places because of the long-term risk factors it causes for innocent bystanders.

Lastly, people who smoke in public portray a bad example for children. Children are easily influenced in their growing stages. They imitate the people around them because they cannot differentiate between right and wrong. That will destroy a young-generation.

In conclusion, it is the right thing to ban smoking in all public places. It is an advantage for saving heath not only the person who smoke but also the community.
