“Here Comes the Sun”, was one of The Beatles biggest hits in their career written by George Harrison. In his autobiography he talked about this song and says that at the time in England, winter seemed like it would last forever and when spring came, it was well deserved. He also said that getting a break from working was a relief and sat down to write his song.
The words in the songs itself portrays a message saying that even though things are looking down, there will always be a silver lining to things. The lines “Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here” suggests that it may take a while to find that silver lining but the lines , “Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here,” suggest that the wait might have been worth it. The repetition of the lines, “Here comes the sun, here comes the sun And I say it's all right” and “Sun, sun, sun, here it comes” also adds to the effect of the bright side of a negative situation.
          The volume of the song in the beginning is soft, but then starts to crescendo throughout the whole song then decrescendos. The beginning might symbolize the negative situation that has happened but as the song continues towards the lines, “Sun, sun, sun, here it comes" it gets louder showing the rainbow at the end of the storm in a sense. The verses have a pause to allow the music to come forward and add emotion to the song to help convey the message. The background is also upbeat which also adds to the emotion.
            At the time this song was written, there were many things going on such as the Vietnam war and many things surrounding the war such as the first lottery draft and pictures being released of the those found dead. But on the other hand, there were events going on that were on the opposite spectrum of the war. The first moon landing and music legends like Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin...
