Favorite Techer

        Have you ever heard of a teacher that has a balance of fun and education? A teacher that appreciates anything you do if you just tried your hardest. I hadn’t ever heard of such a teacher until I met Mrs. Curtis: my favorite fifth grade teacher ever.
Mrs. Curtis isn’t just my favorite teacher, she’s also one of my best friends. Usually you think fifth grade teachers would be mean and strict, but if you’re in Mrs. Curtis’s class everything’s upside down. Mrs. Curtis loves a balance of fun and education, you can be as fun as you want but you also have to be hard working at the same time.
        ISAT’s, MAP testing, tests and quizzes, you name it. Usually if you’re with a teacher studying ISAT’s it’s so not fun and boring, but the boredom ends in Language Arts or any other subject. Mrs. Curtis’s new idea to get prepared is to act it out. Say the quote, act it out, then explain for every piece of evidence. Everything that seemed to be so boring last year believe it or not turned out to be like an amusement this year.
        I bet when you think of a classroom, the first thing that comes into your mind is probably a room filled with students that are bursting with energy. Of course there is the teacher along with desks that the kids sit at and some posters that have quotes of many kinds. In our classroom it’s so very different, sure we the typical boring desks but we also have 6 bouncy balls that we sit on, two tiny couches and about 5 beach chairs in a small corner that we call the Curtis Corner. Let me try to infer what you’re thinking: Wow, she has got to be the best teacher, I want her as mine too! But equipment doesn’t matter whether its a jetpack or helicopter, the thing that does matter is your character.
        In technology Mrs. Curtis is over the tops, after all we were the first class to start having IPads in the whole school. She can fix any kind problem on our iPads or computers, and even though she’s a teacher not a engineer she really knows her...
