My addiction to modern technology and its application in the field of teaching English has been an inspirational and challenging commitment. I have always dreamt of using new technology to facilitate learning and making it fun. More than ten years ago, I tried to learn computer programming to enable me to achieve my dream, but it was a very tough experience with all its arithmetic and scientific terminology. My persistence has never faded away. I have tried to use the simple computer applications to make a difference and create some fun by means of power point presentations and the like. Yet, this has never satisfied my innovative mindset. The day has come when the smart whiteboard technologies have been introduced in our training center. My resilience has given me a great boost to spare no time or effort or even money to master this new technology and start using it although the logistics hadn't been completed at that time. I applied this software in each skill and succeeded in creating my own flipcharts. My next challenge was my fellow teachers' training on this software which I carried out successfully and without being charged for it. This eagerness to technology has never ended up with smart whiteboards but extended to MOODLE system and e-portfolios in which I have excelled and taken the responsibility of training my colleagues on them. This commitment found the good soil for its success when I used to work in the renowned oil company in Saudi Arabia, but once I came back to Egypt, this experience with its rich outcome had been at risk owing to the poor technological logistics, but I wish my persistence and resilience would survive and advance after taking this online course with your respected university.
