When you hear people talk about the perfect first date, you would often hear taking long walks on the beach and watching the sunset. Or maybe you’ll hear going to a fancy restaurant and ordering the most costly things off the menu. Well this is possible, but really, how many times do you hear that these occur for a first date? and really, in the Bahamas?
A first date can be online, in person, or even on the phone. One way a first date can occur is online. In the Bahamas, the use of social networks is rapidly growing and is widely used by teenagers. Social networks such as Skype, Facebook, and Twitter are just some ways a first date can happen. Here, you can have a date without even leaving your home. Another way is in person. The most popular places to go on a first date for teenagers are the movies, Marina Village, or even the bowling alley. The date should be a fun and lasting experience, so that the opposite person would be interested in you for a long period. It is also at this time that you can see how a person acts in public, their overall attitude, and behavior. Lastly, a date can just be simply over the phone. This may be convenient for shy people who are not ready to meet the opposite person or who is unable to go on dates.
First of all, let the other person see the real you. A first date is not the time to try out being the person you’d like to be, or the person you think your date would like you to be. After all, you don’t want them falling in love with a false version of you. You want someone who likes you for all you are, with your good bits, your not so good bits, your little quirky bits and all the things in between that make you, you.
