The following four Ball Mill is very common, the main difference between them lies in the structure of different grinding parts, and according to the shape of the structure naming.

(l)The disc and roller mill, referred to as flat plate mill.Flat plate grinding mill components is circular flat disk and roll formed.

(2) roll and a bowl-type mill, referred to as the bowl mill.This is early in the lap with a bowl, small bowl mill and evolved by modern large-scale disc or shallow bowl called swashplate mill.Such grinding mill parts are disc and roller bowl.

The two above often is referred to as mill roller mill.

(3) The ball and ring Coal Mill, also known as ball medium speed pulverizers or commonly known as E-type mill.The milling parts from the upper and lower grinding rings and balls rolling in between the composition.Because of the rolling ball in the mill,thus there are known ball mill.

(4)the ring and roller mill, such a Peizi grinding mill and grinding in this type of modification on the basis of evolution of the MPS mill.

Aimed at the disadvantage of conventional optimization algorithm for ball mill, a new on-line optimization algorithm combined fill level is proposed. A new neural network called resource optimized networks (RON) is used to build the complex nonlinear relationship between the electric consumption and process parameters. Then the object function is determined based on the nonlinear model. The optimal work parameters of ball mill system are determined by genetic algorithm. The optimization results demonstrate that power consumption can be decreased obviously and the goal of energy consumption optimization is achieved. The optimization results of control variables as fill level, inlet negative press and outlet temperature are obtained.
