Aim: the aim of this experiment I did was to reveal a phenomenon of the osmoses on chipped potato in the concentration of black current squash.

Equipment

  * One potato
  * Beaker 100 cm3 for the black current squash
  * Six beakers 100 cm3
  * One white tile
  * Scalpel
  * Cork to cut out the potato
  * Ruler to measure the length of the chopped potato
  * Tow Treat pipettes
  * Distilled water in a wash bottle
  * A piece of tissue

Method
The methods that I used in my experiment was as the following
  1- Labeling the beakers with the concentration in percentage of the black current squash
  2- Using the pipettes to have the right percentage of the blackcurrant squash
  3- Measuring out the volume of the blackcurrant squash that needed to make 30 cm3 of solution as it was given on the fourth row of the table and putting into the right labeled beakers
  4- Measuring out the volume of water that needed to make 30 cm3 of the solution.
  5- Using the crock borders and ruler to cut out and measure approximately 6 equal pieces of potatoes, the chopped potatoes should have no skin.

The table of the experiment results

Concentration of blackcurrant   % | Original mass (g) | After experiment mass (g) | Changing mass | % Of changing mass |
0 | 2.15 | 2.24 | 0.09 | 4.2 |
20 | 2.17 | 2.11 | _O.06 | -2.8 |
40 | 2.22 | 2.07 | _0.15 | -6.8 |
60 | 2.25 | 2.09 | _0.16 | -7.1 |
80 | 2.21 | 1.94 | _0.27 | -12.2 |
100 | 2.22 | 1.96 | _0.26 | -12.2 |
Explanation
I wighted all the chopped potatos and then I put them in to different percentages of   blackcurrant squash solution. I left it for 15 minutes then after 15 minutes I took them out and dryed them up by a tissue and weight   them again , I found out some facts. The weight of 2.15 g of the chopped potato that I put into a 30cm3 water   of a 0% of concentration of blackcurrant squash solution increaced by 4.2%   because the water from a higher concentration went...
