The Ballard Integrated Managed Services, Inc. (BIMS), is an organization that provides food and hospitality service for patients and staffs on a contractual basis. In this paper, one will learn what the situation at BIMS as an overview-problem, purpose, research questions, and hypotheses. This paper will also describe the instrument used for data collection, identify the types of data that is collected-quantitative, qualitative, or both-and how the data is collected, identify the level of measurement for each of the variables that are involved in the study. Also included in this paper will describe how the data is coded and evaluate the procedure used, clean the data by eliminating the data input errors made and draw a conclusion about appropriateness of the data to meet the purpose of the study
The Ballard Integrated Managed Services, Inc. (BIMS) have been going through a few drastic changes over the past few months that are affecting the daily operations and the morals of their employees. BIMS is committed to providing food and hospitality services that include maintenance and food services to establishments and corporations. The organization has three divisions and they are the Physical plant maintenance division, Food service division and the Hospitality division. Each division plays a very important role in the organizations and helps them to represent the organization. Barbara Tucker, the general manager for BMIS noticed that their biggest problem is when their turnover rate has increased from 55-60% to 64% in a four month time span and no one seems to be able to explain why this is occurring.
Barbara has to find out the reasons why the staff and employees are working but have no motivation and why their complaints have increased extensively. Before this situation gets any worse, Barbara decides to discuss the issue at hand with the three division supervisors and the Human Resources Manager to discover out a potential resolution to this situation.
