It is really upsetting to see a photograph taken with utmost care being reduced to nothing because of a red eye. It spoils the very beauty and glamor of the photograph and the consoling factor is that there are many ways of removing the red eye from a photograph. Photoshop comes up with some great solutions.
You can use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 version or even a higher version for a successful removal of red eye. The photo that has a red eye needs to be opened in the Adobe Photoshop and the layers window should be visible. If it is not visible, then it has to be activated with the help of the menu on the Windows. The image has to be enlarged to the maximum and the eyes should be fully visible to you. You will find that in the Layers window, there is a small adjustment symbol which resembles a circle with half black and half white colors. You have to click on it and Channel Mixer has to be selected. Now you have to make the red color 0% and the other colors like blue and green equal. You can observe through the layers window that the channel mixer layer has a white patch on the right which is known as the mask. The foreground color has to be set as black and now you can select a paint brush and click on the mask box so that it becomes active. Now when you paint the eyes that were red before, they will again become red and you need to reverse the mask.
