• Intel was the first company, which came up with the idea of microprocessor, and it has continued that legacy by making advanced changes in it with time.
• Intel is the main hardware supplier to the PC business.
• Almost every company which makes computer is using Intel products.
• Has high profitability and revenue.
• The investment   in its research and development department is very heavy, and it has the a leading-edge mechanized capability.

• Sometimes it is hard to convince customers pay because their products are buried deep inside the PCs.
• Intel position in the market declined in mid-2000s because the PC industry slowed down.
• Intel saw a loss in the financial year of 2008 in terms of revenue i.e. they failed to meet their expected profit.
