Principles in designing a good logo.
To create a logo, we must take concern on some principles, which are:
• A logo design must be simple
A simple logo design will allow for easy recognition. This also allows the logo to be adaptable and easy to be remembered by people. A good logo can feature something which is unique and unexpected compared with other logos and no need to worry about being overdrawn.

• A good logo must be memorable
Secondly, a good logo must be memorable or easier to be remembered. Memorability is closely with the principle of simplicity. What it means is if we want other people to remember the company logo, we need to create the logo simply. For example, Mcdonald fast food logo is only an initial of “M”, and the symbol of tick represents the Nike Company. An effective logo design should be memorable and this is achieved by having a simple, yet, appropriate logo.

• A logo design must be compliant
An effective or operative logo should be able to work across a variety of mediums and applications or software to create. This is the reason why a logo should be designed in vector format, as to ensure that it can be scaled to any size.

• A logo must be suitable or appropriate with the purpose.
A good logo should be appropriate for its intended purpose. So, how we can position the logo? For example, if we are designing a logo for a children’s toys shop, it would be suitable to use a childish or cute font and colour scheme should be colourful. However, this would not be so appropriate for a law firm.

• A good logo must be everlasting
Will a logo stands the test of time? Will the logo still be effective after many years? Thus, an effective or good logo should be timeless.
