Al-Ma'idah (The Table With Food)
48 (O Prophet!) to you WE have sent the Book (Al-Quran),
with the truth, verifying that which came before it from
the (Eternal) Book, and as guardian over it. Therefore
judge between them according to what Allah has
revealed, and do not follow their base desires, (thus
turning) away from what has come to you of the Truth.
For each (nation) among you WE have laid down a
code of law, and a way of life; if Allah had so wished,
HE would have made you a single Ummah, a people of
one belief, but (HE intends to) try you by what HE has
given you (people of various communities). Therefore,
vie with one another in doing good. To Allah is
your return; then HE will make known to you that
about which...
