Boys of Fall

All my life I have never considered fall a legit season. I have always thought we could jump from summer to winter, and skip the middle man. Now I see fall for what it truly is. Fall is a season of unpredictable changes and surprises.
Fall tries to creep up on you. It catches you coming off the highs of summer unsuspecting and unaware.   Sometimes the change is a hindered   and smooth process. Other times it attacks with the force of a blindside hit from a blitzing linebacker.   During fall the leaves begin to lose color as if they are ditching the last sights of the summer. Soon those leaves would fall to the ground like they lost the privilege to hang from tree. The weather turn cools down and people start retreating inside.   This is when families exchange cookouts in the backyard for hot coco around the warm fire place. Then as Halloween comes around people spend there last few nights out on the town trick or treating before the weather gets to cold ad bitter.  
Just about the time fall starts the kids are forced back in to lockdown for the next 180. Most call this process back to school. Many kids dread this but it isn’t all bad. Friends regroup after being apart for the summer.   Teachers return to there dusty old class rooms and life goes on. One big challenge that fall brings is that is the task of getting back in a routine. No longer can people stay up till midnight and sleep in.  
One thing that comes with school is fall sports. The cross country team dusts off their running shoes and the volleyball players bring out their spandex. As for the football players they have been waiting all summer to get that first hit of the season.   The long wait so the crack of the pads is long and tiring.   Once you spy your chance to tackle then you get to uncoil and shoot into that ball carrier like a snake catching his lunch. After you finally obtain that first hit it becomes an addiction till all you want is to live on the field.   As soon as the games...
