Underneath it all

I moved into this house on Ida place 5 years ago, when I was in the fifth grade. I was excited about moving into a new house, a new place, and getting to know new people. But now, it is just a big, white, lonely house. Four rooms, three and a half bathrooms, our own laundry room, and a huge kitchen. The house is always spotless, like a bald mans head. We have a steep drive way that when I was 10, made me feel like I was climbing Mount Everest. There is a tropical backyard full of plants, palm trees, and waterfalls. There are even a few palm trees and plants in the front yard. We have a big black door with a gold handle and a gold lock. The walls are brown all over the house, except for a few white walls of wonder here and there. What about my room? My room represents me, my thoughts, and my mood. The color of my room is a bright mint green, which shows my crazy, energetic side, I also have a few hints of other colors around the room. When people come into my house they usually say, “Whoa! You’ve got such a big house! I’d love to live here!” They would love to live in a house where your parents usually aren’t home because they work so much? Where you are constantly cleaning and suffering from boredom day by day? And where everyone is so strict about everything that you hate coming home? People may see the pretty house and nice things, but they don’t see what is going on under all of that. [276]
