TRIP TO MIANDAM
Miandam was a totally different place not only for boys from Sindh and Balochistan but also for many boys of NWFP. We wondered what sort of place Miandam might be.

We set off from our camp on Wednesday, 23rd June at 9:15 a.m. in 15 minutes we were in the flying coaches ready to sort for Miandam. The journey took us by complete surprise when it ended ion just 50 minutes. We had not realized the diversion we had taken to our right on the Kalam road.
Miandam was a small place with a small and quiet bazaar which had only few shops. There were a good number of well-organized hotels. P.T.D.C hotel for instance was one masterpiece of the hotels of Miandam. A slow gentle stream ran quietly down behind the main bazaar. The people didn’t enjoy the ear-haunting noise of the moving water. The bazaar was not too busy but with our arrival it had plunged into a state of excitement.
Each boy was given Rs. 100 each. We roam in the inexpensive bazaar of Miandam. There were no valuable commodities and we spent our money on drinking and eating. Some boys did buy small gifts and presents.
A path at the back if the bazaar led us down to the stream. We passed trees of apples and (               ) on our way down. We had a cool bath in the stream which induced our appetite.
The lunch was served at 1:30 p.m. many boys took munch in the hotels instead of the one served by the college. I and my friends had a collective lunch at P.T.D.C hotel. It was a delicious lunch. This was my first experience of a lunch with my friends in a hotel.
We had a good stay at Miandam. We met some foreigners who showed great interest in Fazlehaq College. We were confident enough to chat with them and no boy stepped back in replying to their questions. I was surprised by the way the boys behaved and spoke. I was proud of my college.
We also saw the present Hockey coach of our National Hockey team but I am sorry I didn’t meet him. (for this reason I do not know his name)
The time elapsed...
