Down with the Illegal Immigrants
            Over the past few decades America has gained the title a nation of immigrants, but these newcomers are seldom welcomed with open arms.  Mexicans and Latinos elude the United States Border Patrol and are able to settle themselves and their families in the midst of the United States.  They are scattered throughout the land searching for work in places from the farming areas in Georgia to the construction sites in Salt Lake City, Utah.  They are becoming a huge part of today’s society, and no matter where you turn there are immigrants working harder and longer than other workers are on the job.  The truth of the matter is that most immigrants in this country are here illegally and really do not have the citizenship rights to live in the United States.  Most immigrants are coming into our country and taking jobs away from the American people whom need them.  Besides this overwhelming problem, they are producing numerous children, and breaking many laws.  Even though illegal immigrants have earned the reputation of being strenuous workers, the people of the United States are beginning to feel like foreigners in their own country.
            My grandfather has been a farmer for more than fifty years of his life.  He lives in a small rural town in central Georgia where farming is the main industry, but other types of jobs are few and far between.  My grandfather has about a thousand acres of land, which is comprised of hundreds of farm fields planted with crops such as corn, soybeans, peanuts, butter beans, and watermelons just to name a few. He grows almost anything imaginable on his farm, and he needs many workers to keep his business running efficiently and economically.  Most of his workers are illegal immigrants from Mexico. When asked about his use of these workers my grandfather stated, I could get the most work for the least amount of money from these immigrants, and that is why I hire them.   He speaks honestly...
