THE IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
Physical fitness is most commonly defined as the state of being physically sound and healthy, especially as a result of proper nutrition and exercise. It is, thus, a state of general well-being, marked by physical and mental health.

Physical fitness helps people in the long run, Health, one of the most important things in life, is one of the most valuable and ‘difficult-to-replace’ assets one can ever have. Being physically fit doesn’t mean the absence of diseases. A person who is disease-free may not necessarily be healthy. There are innumerable advantages of being physically fit and likewise there are innumerable ways of keeping your body fit.

The measurement of your heart’s strength is basically called ‘cardiovascular endurance’. The capability of the human body to deliver oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body and to remove waste is also cardiovascular endurance. Regular exercise of any form ultimately leads to the development of endurance, strength, agility, flexibility, stamina and so on. These physical fitness components further lead to mental well-being.

People who jog or swim everyday are more likely to have a better body posture in comparison with people who don’t give the body the exercise it needs. People who are physically fit have a correct body image and better physical appearance.

Physically fit humans are likely to see a quick recovery after injuries and illness and also have a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease. Moderated and balanced workout helps to boost the immune system of the body. Fully functional and strong body immunity means that your body develops the strength to ward off diseases and infections.

Regular participation in physical fitness helps utilise leisure time properly. The recovery time of the body is reduced after vigorous activity. Physically fit people have no inhibitions and insecurities. They meet the challenges of life happily and are self-confident and...
