    As some people put forward, government must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive on the grounds that in these cities, a nation's cultural traditions are preserved and generated. Though this argument   is quite convincing at first glance, I still cannot approve of it throughout. We need to reconsider this topic from different aspects for the sake of a comprehensive judgment.
    For the first thing, major cities in a country may not need to depend on financial support from the government to meet their needs in order to thrive. In a fast-developing country, hot money is continuously pursuing great opportunities for enhancing its value in every minute. In other words, in the major cities, where are filled with prosperity and vitality, probably no remarkable essential financial support is required from the government. Hence, where there is a need for a project, as long as the project is profitable enough, there is money chasing after it.
    However, some people may argue that there are always some constructions needing official help to finance it, such as the long-term program of building up subways. Indeed constructions like the example above cannot operate without financial help from the government; nevertheless, chances are that the government is able to cooperate with private institutes to finance a huge program. As a result, no much worry should the government take to ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive on the account that civilian support is considerable as well.
