Democracy Without Education

Democracy without education is meaningless. It is education and enlightenment that lifts a nation to the heights of progress and greatnessAt present about 60% of the people in India are illiterate; they cannot differentiate a buffalo from a black mole. Adult education is needed because it is a powerful auxiliary and an essential incentive to primary education. No programme of compulsory universal education can bear fruit without the active support and co-operation of adults social education
education is part of our life .education means knowledge and it is very important for us.in old time many people can't get education by different reasons specially girls.people don't give importance to girls education.now there are many adult people who are not educated and they think that it is not the age for study but we should make them understand that their is no age for study.if they are not educated then they have to depend on others but if they are educated then they will not depend on others and their self confidence will also increse.they can be a good effect on their children by showing them that study can be fun.if they are educated then they can express them selve in a new way.if they are educated then they can utilise their time by reading newspaper ,magzines,stories etc.learning is a countinous process with our life and adult person have the countinue relationship with knowledge is also important.
The difficulties have to be overcome either by cleverness, or by fact or by compromise, or may be, by intentional avoidance. Only then we can hope to spread Adult Education. The purpose of all good teaching is to produce changes in human behavior. All adult education teacher must adopt a positive approach; adult education emancipates people from the tyranny of illiteracy
1. in a complex modern democracy, citizens must be knowledgeable.
2. research shows that older people who keep their minds active suffer less dementia and other memory type diseases in old age.
