Summary
The beginning of this book starts out with Katniss explaining how she got where she was. She explained that she was captured by some rebels of District thirteen and Peeta   her tribute partner in the games was left behind and was captured by the president Snow the president   of Panem the country in which the story took place. When she gets back to district 13 she finds out that district 12 has been destroyed, but her family and her friend Gales and his family are safe also. Peeta was brained was and was trained by president snow to kill Katniss saying she was his enemy and hoe he shouldn’t trust her. Katniss got approval from President Coin the president of district 13 to rescue Peeta. At first when Katniss does rescue Peeta he tries to strangle her. After a while Peeta gets help and slowly recovers by decorating cakes as therapy. We learned in the last two books that he was a baker’s son and loves art. When Peeta is well enough president coin sends him back with Katniss to rebels against the capital. The plan goes somewhat wrong some of her teammates are killed by the same tactics used I The old Hunger Games; mutts. They end up going too far into the capital, because Katniss wanted to kill President Snow. In President Snow’s mansion there are many children and their thought to have shelter inside the mansion but President Snow is really keeping the children in his mansion as a form of human shield. In one of the supply packs there is a bomb and it kills all the children including one of the medical teams from the rebel which consisted of prim Katniss’s beloved sister. Katniss eventually finds out the bomb was president snows idea but was originally Gale’s her who once really good friend, but he denies any involvement. Katniss remembers talking to president snow in the beginning of the 74th Hunger Game and how they promised to never lie to each other. Katniss goes out and kills President Coin and more rebels come out and president snow is found dead choking...
