Technology has contributed to change in the everyday life of Australians in the 1950s by inventing new types of transport. In the 1950s Australia made their first motor car, aircraft became faster and was able to carry more passengers and diesel locomotive trains became available in Australia instead of steam trains. Changes in Australia's transport technology can mean there will be more deaths caused by transport and more traffic on the roads.

Transport has changed the everyday life of Australians in the 1950s with the contribution of technology by creating the first motorcar, the FX Holden. The FX Holden was factory-made in 1948, originally, the Holden factory could only produce 10 cars per day, but by 1951 it had increased to 100 cars per day. In 1953, Holden released the FJ Holden. It cost $2015, which was equal to 68 times the average weekly wage. By 1955, on average there were 1 850 000 cars in Australia. Since there were a lot more cars in Australia people started building garages and carports and there was a huge amount of new roads built and supermarkets built car parks for people to park in. with the motor car Australians could now go where they wanted, whenever they wanted, they usually went to the beach, sporting place and the shops, it was also easier to keep in touch with friends who lives far away, cars became a symbol of wealth for many families.
