VALENTINO
“I know what women want. They want to be beautiful!” quoted the most legendary face of the fashion world, Valentino Garavani in one of his interviews. Valentino was just 13 when looking at the silver screen goddesses he knew that he wanted to make clothes for women and make them look beautiful. Ever Since he never looked back and followed his dreams passionately, living himself to be the one of the last haute-couture designers gifted to the world of fashion.
Valentino Garavani was a hard worker! He was a hard core lover of fashion and believed that designing clothes is the only thing he could ever do in his life. He never liked to talk about his retirement. He just did not want to stop working. His career cherished for about 45 years but if situations weren’t the best favoring his retirement he could have still continued working for years till finally it was just right to stop.
Valentino shared great warmth with his business partner Giancarlo Giammett. He started his business with him and till the end the bonding just got better. They were almost like life for each other, they never married, they hardly made any other friends and they spent almost 24 hours all 365 days a year throughout the 45 years of their career.
Valentino Garavani had immense love for animals! He loved his pugs! Even in the most tensed situation of work the pugs shall never be ignored. He was sweet hearted and believed that love and passion always stands before money.
Unlike what image we might form of this designer by the level of success he has already achieved, Valentino seems confident yet negative to most his works produced. Even while talking about the iconic red Valentino, he finds his work “stupid”! He might love what he is doing and also love the people he is working with equally, but one single opinion or denial to his choice of art from any of his subordinates or colleagues might not be taken in the most appropriate manner.
